Bring your friends and family for a special evening of music by some of Texas’ most talented young composers. You and the composers will hear their piece being performed by a professional orchestra for the first time! 

All eight composers were chosen by a panel of judges during the “Texas Young Composers Competiton” held in 2019. Each composer was under the age of 18 when they submitted their piece.

Somesh Yatham: Machiavellian (2nd place)
Tanner Walterman: Precious Despair (3rd place)
David Alexander Schuler: Twenty (4th place)
Chase McCay: K2 (5th place)
Ayden Machajewski: Skyline 75 (runner-up)
William Gum: Redwood Suite (runner-up)
Benjamin Roberts: Scenes from an Expedition (runner-up)
